Wisdom
Writen by Andres Lara on February 14, 2009
Why are you so attached to what people do or don’t do? Why are you spending so much energy trying to convince others on how your ways... should be their way?

Perhaps you care; perhaps you want the best for them. Yet understand that what’s best for you might not be what’s best for them. And what was best yesterday might not be what’s best today.

Poor choices when reflected upon generate wisdom, maturity, and character. Don’t try to shelter yourself or others from poor choices; for they pave the path....that leads to a life worth living.

“Wisdom is not something that you can give to others; it’s something others must give to themselves.” ~Andres Lara

Emeseh,

Thanks for your comments. And also thank you for thinking of me as someone who has guided you in your journey to overcome your challenges.

I will also encourage you to think about the statement that Shakespeare made 100's of years ago 'There's nothing good or bad only thinking makes it so'

Reflect on what you are currently going through and what you have gone through remember 'a life not examined is not a life worth living' Socrates said that.

As you reflect back on what Shakespeare said.. Consider that what you have gone through was not so much of a challenge but a lesson. A lesson that somehow has helped you grow and develop the giant within you.

You see thinking of a lesson brings to mind learning, growing, expanding, advancement. Thinking of challenge sometimes bring to mind hardship, struggle, difficulties.

So label your current circustances carefully for your label can generate positive or negative feelings.

Till We talk again.

After reading the inspiration on wisdom, it made think of this - wisdom is not a positional issue, or goal to obtain but it is a continuous journey of self-improvement that grounds the individual in the fundamental awareness and conscience of where s/he is at all times, thus act accordingly.

Cheryl,

Thanks for your comment. Great quote. It's a great reminder that the truth is not something you get to like a bus stop but rather something you are constantly going through like a never-ending bus route. And of course, just like no one route fits every single bus, no one truth should fit on every single person.
